Jordan started in radio back in 2001. He had done some comedy work before that and quickly learned that he had a knack for enhancing a lot of copy from his clients. It wasn’t long after that that he learned he had a huge knack for voicing all his copy for his clients. This led to other companies compensating him to write and voice their copy as well. From there, some clients also began utilizing his voice work for their television and digital projects. He spent more than a decade voicing countless commercials from local mom and pop shops to eventually voicing copy for some of the world’s biggest companies. He's voiced animated video, web site narratives, company training and history shorts and more. During that time, he honed his craft by taking numerous classes and workshops to learn how to deliver the absolute best fitting, most natural voice overs possible. His last few years were spent working at a local NBC affiliate until the decision was made to devote himself to full time voice over work at his own custom built recording studio. It’s been one of the best decisions he ever made.
Realism, diversity and experience are the top things Jordan brings to the table. With over 15 years of voicing up-beat, hilarious, animated, sophisticated, warm, and professional projects, Jordan understands what the listener wants to hear, and he delivers exactly that. He possesses a confident, poised straight-read, and greatly shines out on diverse reads such as character, comedy, musical or other unique reads. He takes direction well and comfortably integrates it into his work.
In addition to voice over work, professional singer and public speaker, Jordan was also an extra on HBO’s The Leftovers, a member of the Barbershop Harmony Society where he sings lead as well as host & emcee of many annual concerts, he was inducted into the International Philosophical Honor Society in 1992, he owns a bar on historical 6th Street in Austin, he's had a highly decorated advertising career, taught guitar, studied piano, taught fly fishing, smokes competition level brisket, baby backs, etc., and now brews his own beer. Life’s meant to be lived!
